My dear friend Kari got married this past October. My darling, talented fiancé shot the wedding and here, my friends, are the beautiful photographs!

I realize this photo collage is a bit of a mishmash, but who can blame me when I happen to be in some of the photos and I find every single one so beautiful I could cry? Kari and Justin are just so gorgeous, stylish, and absolutely meant for each other. And Michael continually blows me away with his creativity, composition, and editing.

kari's getting married!

it really doesn't seem so long ago that i wrote this post, but my dear friend kari is getting married this weekend!

friday night, the six of us bridesmaids threw a fun, cozy, little bachelorette for kari -  gorgeous hotel suite, food, wine, paper heart decorations, flowers... it was a nice little break before the intense wedding week begins!

ps. i realize my blog isn't the prettiest right now, but mike & i are designing a sweet new layout! it probably wasn't the best timing to start redesigning it (with it being wedding week and all), so it might be a bit before it all comes together!

kari's wedding shower.

last week, my beautiful friend kari had a wedding shower. my oh my...it was the loveliest shower i have ever been to.

i am so beside myself excited for the wedding this fall! some of my very best friends are in the wedding party + my boyfriend is shooting the wedding. plus, justin & kari are hilarious and stylish. it's gearing up to be the best wedding ever (after my own one day, i suppose!)

also, i realize i have been rather absent as of late. sorry sorry sorry! my turkish summer adventure is coming up SO SOON and i always seem to have a million + one things to do! but i promise to be a better blogger while i'm gone! i can't wait to share it all with you! (exclamation marks flying all over the place!)

let me tell you a story...

...about friday, january twenty second.

SCENE ONE:

janis does homework upstairs while her friends make supper (what friends!).

janis comes downstairs. the three friends start eating.

 SCENE TWO:

the fourth friend, kari, arrives, earlier than expected. the other friends think nothing of it.

kari starts taking pictures of the prepared supper.

screams erupt as kd catches a glimpse of shiny diamond ring on kari's finger.

janis proceeds to choke on her garlic bread while she is screaming.

kari fears janis will throw up all over her.

hugs/screams/gasps/tears.

the friends settle down.

kari tells the whole wonderful story.

SCENE THREE:

the friends skype the fiancé. the friends love this man very very much.

SCENE FOUR:

the friends turn on kelis.

dance party erupts as the friends make toasted marshmallow milkshakes.

the friend decide that it is the most delicious flavour they have ever tasted.

SCENE FIVE:

facebook status hacking (thank you kd)/pictures/empire state of mind/

bridesmaids dress research/photobooth/dancing on the piano bench

my three best friends + a diamond ring 

+ delicious milkshakes + my right eyeball. 

i couldn't be any happier.
