Sophie's cosmic café - a retro diner with self-described "garage sale décor". It's a wacky and wonderful place to have breakfast. I thought at first that the décor might be their primary focus and the food second. Wrong. Their food was amazing. I was completely smitten with my waffle and heaps of fresh fruit.

And then we met the most unbelievably cute puppy on our walk home. After a few minutes of petting & cuddling, I realized that it was a seeing eye dog. Whoops!

    because breakfast places rock as it is and THEN they look this fun? I love it.
    re: the seeing eye dog...having a pup that cute is kind of asking for it, you're definitely not at fault!

    Reminds me of Sweet Mother's Kitchen in Wellington, NZ... they don't have pics up on their website tho.. :( but it's also decorated in "garage sale chic" :)

    I knew that was Sophie's, from the very first photo! It's one of my favourite cafes.

    Was in Vancouver for the weekend at the end of February, and had breakfast at Sophie's before heading back to the ferry. Mmmmm....

    Haha, I also recognized Sophie's from the first photo. Such a ridiculous place. Glad you enjoyed Vancouver-- I miss it when I'm away!
