shaela's princess birthday party.
These photos are actually a few weeks old, but I got all nostalgic looking at these last night because this darling little family of five (two of the family members aren't actually photographed - whoops!) moved away yesterday. Oh it's not that far away, just to Brandon (about two and a half hours away from Winnipeg), but I'm still going to miss them like crazy.

That was sad, on top of the fact that I got pretty sick this weekend. And then when I was feeling better, all I did was homework (...and all right, squeezed in some Arrested Development. Weekend highlight!). But really, none of that compares to the devastation in Japan. It makes my heart hurt...

On a happier note: Look at Mike's handcrafted card for Shaela. That man is amazing.

  5. i love that little boy's big eyes. and no, it's not weird if you ask where josh got his suit. it's from brooks brothers and the style is madison 1818. he got it tailored a little bit to fit him a little better.

  8. I totally understand how hard can it be when beloved family or friends move away. It's funny that my sister is now more close to you than me.(She lives in Calgary)

Is Shaela your niece? She looks so much like you. The eyes, hair even the smile! She's cute.

  9. @shokoofeh: Oh, I didn't know your sister lived in Calgary, interesting! I feel a little lame complaining about them moving away just a few hours when people are across the globe from their family!

Shaela is indeed my niece! It's so funny - people tell me all the time how much we look alike! I think I acted pretty similar to her when I was her age too!

  13. Moving is hard as is, without having to move away from the people that you love. Edwin and I have moved three times inside of the same city! Your family is darling. It's crazy because the little girl looks like she really could be your daughter.
