istanbul!

well my friends, you may (or may not) remember me mentioning that my dear friend kd & i had applied to work at an AMAZING summer camp in istanbul this summer...

WELL - i am thrilled to report that we both found out today we are HIRED! HIIIYYYA! our job officially starts june 20th, but we are going to do a little european traveling for two weeks before that (HELLO ITALY & GREECE) with my dear british friend pip!

if any of you have travel suggestions re: istanbul/italy/greece, i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear them!

if you don't hear from me for a few days, i may have drowned in my lonely planet books.

what a rad way to start the weekend! this day could only get better if my very pregnant sister-in-law had my beautiful nephew to be! YAHOO!

(OH I CAN'T WAIT TO SHARE MY OWN BEAUTIFUL ISTANBUL SUMMER PHOTOS WITH YOU MY DEAR BLOG READERS! THIS IS GOING TO BE EPIC!)

  4. Oooh !! Félicitations !!!!
The boy and I went to Istanbul last summer. It was actually our first vacation together and we completely fell in love with the city. We were supposed to stay there for 3 or 4 days and ended up staying for almost 10 days. Istanbul in the summer can be extremely crowded but as soon as you wander out of the very touristic places you end up in the most beautiful, calm and "real" areas. The only thing is the food: we didn't really luck out in that department, but the rest really made up for it :)
