board games by candlelight.
mike got possession of his house last month, but since he is planning on doing some pretty major renovations, he hasn't officially moved in. which means there is not a heck of a lot of furniture (or light fixtures) in it.
however, we have not let that deter us from hanging out there... sprawling out on a sea of blankets and pillows to play board games by candlelight seems like a lot more fun than playing at a table with the lights on.
after being defeated in scrabble by mike more times than i can bear to think of, i decided to whip out the old school word game "probe". (confession: i thought about making the title of this post PROBE BY CANDLELIGHT...but i thought you might get the wrong idea! ha!)
i am sad to report that he won this game too! it was his first time playing it... and i grew up playing this game! *heavy sigh.
well. maybe i'll beat him at boggle.

Ah, so cute and romantic!
ReplyDeleteHaha Janis, so cute! Probe by candlelight, I must admit, made me giggle a lot. But the candles are beautiful, and it looks like an amazing time. I'm crossing my fingers for you winning at Boggle. xo
ReplyDeleteP.s. I realize this is twice-posted. My typo was really bugging me... :)

ReplyDeleteaw I love the candles! that looks so cozy. I'm a very good speller but I am horrible at word games like scrabble (but that's more about luck...right??haha) and scattergories!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! How romantic and fun... I love word games, but the hubby hates them. That is, unless we play dirty scrabble. Now that's a good game!
