thanksgiving gobbles.

well here in canada, it is thanksgiving monday. i have no university classes today, so i'm hoping to get some homework/cleaning done before i head over to my brother & sister-in-law's for the big turkey dinner.

this past year has been really tough for me + my family. to be honest, i'm having a hard time being really thankful. but i know it's important to think about + be thankful for what you still have. so here goes...

i am thankful for…

-my nephew, niece, and the little one on the way! i love them so much and can’t imagine my life without them. they make me laugh so hard one second + then will infuriate me the next second.

-the rest of my family. i don’t know what i would do without you.

-my two jobs. i am pretty darn lucky. i love both of ‘em. i’m learning so much at the elementary school, and feel incredibly blessed to be working there every morning.

-my friends. i was able to travel around this summer and visit a bunch of my friends that “i hold in my suitcase heart”. it is so awesome to be able to visit places like seattle, montreal, sarnia, vancouver, innisfail, ottawa and edmonton and have friends waiting for me with open arms.

and of course, i appreciate as well my winnipeg friends. i’m thankful that they don’t forget who i am when i’m gone.. and winnipeg isn’t always the most exciting place to live, but i think we are doing a good job in trying to make the best of it {this has been my personal fall goal!}

-all the places i saw this summer + for all the new people i met + for the six credit hours i received for my summer course in québec {i was expecting only to get three, and was just overjoyed when i found out i got six…}

-i’m so thankful that I am almost done my french major…one course left! as much as love the french language, these french lit classes are almost killing me.

-those fabulous beach days in september. it was basically the coldest summer EVER, but those days {almost} made up for it. The time spent at grand beach was just golden.

-my new bedroom set up. I moved some of my furniture around this fall, and it is just absolutely amazing how it has opened up the space!

-my new over the knee boots! i love them i love them i love them.

and i am also REALLY thankful that i took my friends' advice and started up this little blog. it's been really fun so far!!
i often catch myself thinking about it + planning future posts.
it's so exciting! i look forward to see how it develops.
thanks to everyone for their support!!
