3/19/12
Saturday morning we woke up and felt like brunch. So, at ten o'clock, we sent our friends a facebook message. By eleven, there was a crowd in the kitchen. We had a veritable feast of waffles and fresh fruit!
More friends kept coming and the temperature kept rising. I was very recently complaining about the snow, but it's all gone now! Not only that, we've also been experiencing unseasonably (worrisome?) warm temperatures of twenty degrees (sixties fahrenheit).
We brought our chairs outside and sat for hours in the sunshine. We drank iced tea, took an enneagram quiz (I'm a three, what are you?), and played football.
I still smile when I think about it.

ReplyDeletetook that quiz & i'm a two! i love personality quizzes like these.
ReplyDeletehave you ever taken the myers-briggs or strengths finders tests?
those two are my favourite. so accurate, its ridiculous
i think i have taken myers-briggs when i took a personality psych class a few years ago, but i can't remember the results. in any case, this enneagram test was a crazy spot on!
Deletei want to wake up and just feel like a brunch. i'm going to convince my parents that it should happen sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteso, i need to move to canada and live on the same street as you. just so much fun.

Oh my gosh, are you serious? A few posts ago tons of snow, and now this spring-like view. I can't believe it. Someone should make the snow go away just like that here too! Great pictures, by the way! :)
ReplyDeleteit's crazy! but every day i wake up worrying it's going to snow again, haha!
DeleteIt's warmer in Winnipeg than in Vancouver?! It is worrisome, but I guess it should be enjoyed nevertheless.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect Saturday to me :)
ReplyDeleteNew England is feeling it, too. It is a bit worrisome, but I can't say I don't love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day! I love it when things unexpectedly fall in to place!

ReplyDeleteI agree with shirley, you do have great gatherings. I wish I had friends that dropped everything just to get together and enjoy the beautiful weather.
ReplyDeleteFunnnn!!! All of my family and friends from Winnipeg keep bragging about how mild the temps have been all winter, they sure know how to make a girl jealous. I always move away the worst years
ReplyDeletesounds so much fun.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a blast! Your photos capture the cheerfulness of the time so beautifully. Time with friends has that affect on me, too. :)
ReplyDeleteok, also, this is random:
ReplyDeletei remembered taking an enneagram test when i did outtatown, three years ago, and i was curious to see what number it was so i found my journal...
...and that particular journal entry was three years ago TO THE DAY. (march 19)
haha crazy! as if.
and apparently i am a "nine with a one-wing".
:)
crazy! what are the chances? there turned out to be quite a few nines when we took the place (including mike!)
Deletewell this sounds like perfection. these photos are beautiful! and I have no idea what number I am, I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteHaii Janis! Woah you have tons of followers and awesome photo's! I wish I had a nicer lens for my cam, but alas I am poor. Yeah I've met Mike a couple times, I'm so jealous that he gets paid to photograph people! I need to build my portfolio, but I'm focusing on my jewellery business right now. I always try to do tons of different projects and end up not really doing any! :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds perfect. Perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like such a great Sunday! Nothings better than brunch with friends, and Spring's warm weather!

Hope you enjoy the coming week of warth.

I absolutely feel the opposite, haha! I crave the warmth! But I am preparing myself for a May snowfall. It could happen!

My Mumma is an enneagram enthusiast so I've done a million quizzes :) Thom and I also did the enneagram in our marriage prep talks with st Margaret's.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am a seven. A huge huge seven. :)
Have you read about how your type fits with mikes type? It was amazing how bang on that was.
