We drove outside the city and took photos in, around, and on top of (!) enormous cement cylinders. Who knows why they are there, but they're sort of beautiful in a weird way.

On another note, I love that Mister so much. Even more than I did on our wedding day.

Tomorrow - reception!

  28. @world tour stories: despite my comment to you about loving natural hair colour, this ISN'T actually my natural hair colour. i had died it blonde two weeks before the wedding, but it went all brassy. :( i needed to get it retoned the DAY BEFORE the wedding! and it ended up kind of like mike's!

  31. I know this might sound strange, but how in the world did you decide what color your hair would be for the wedding?

You change it so often (as do I) so I'm curious as to your thought process.

All in all, these are the most gorgeous wedding photos I've seen. And the hair is fabulous :)

  32. You both look fantastic!! I love how you pretty much have the same exact hair colour...was this intentional?

  33. Hehe, I love how my hair colour got so many questions. It was pretty unintentional.

To first answer Annabelle's question, I had decided I wanted my hair to be my natural hair colour. After dying it really dark last winter, I was longing for when it was naturally dark blonde after my summer in turkey (like how it when i was my friend's bridesmaid: http://janis-roseanne.blogspot.com/search/label/kari%20and%20justin).

So, I had my hair colour back to it's natural colour, but I guess I spent too much time holed up doing wedding crafts during the summer, so it didn't really lighten like how I hoped it would.

Two weeks before the wedding, I went to get it dyed a "natural blonde". My hairdresser said that would be mighty tricky but she would try. It ended up being a bit of a strange colour (as you can see here in the last photo: http://janis-roseanne.blogspot.com/2011/08/by-forgoing-bridesmaids-i-knew-that-i.html).

As the two weeks went on, it turned rather brassy & orange... Eugh! I wasn't sure though if I was just being super critical of my own hair, so I decided it was probably fine.

A few days before the wedding, one of my best friends sat me down and said, "Janis, I'm saying this because I love you... I think you maybe should get your hair re-toned... It's quite unlike any colour you've had before, and I don't want you to be disappointed when you see your wedding photos.."

It was quite a shock! But of course, I really appreciated her saying it. We called and got me an appt to re-tone my hair THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. Eeep!

The end result ended being this sort of reddish brown hair that matches Mike's hair almost perfectly - ha! Not intentional at all!

In the end, I really wish I had just left it my natural hair colour, but whatchya gonna do? :)
