3/9/11

I know that I've been a little down on Winnipeg in the past, but I realize it's what you make of it. When it's freezing cold outside - gather up some friends and make pizzas inside!

Our pizzas ranged from traditional (pepperoni & cheese) to unorthodox (pesto, shrimp, sundried tomatoes and feta) to pure delight (pesto, tomato, and brie). It's worth mentioning that Justin's pizza dough blew us all away. Some Heinekens (or Coca Cola for the less beer inclined, ahem) and pizza provided the perfect platform for hilarious stories, re-enactments, and conversation.

I adore lots and lots of photos but keep in middle sized. A horrible teacher once said 'you'll be remembered by your worst photo' and i've never forgotten. Sorry if this isn't helpful. x hivennn

  10. Yum! You know, I really ought to try to make my own pizza. It doesn't look that hard! Did you buy a pre-cooked dough, or did you have to make it? Which do you think is a better way?
The pizzas you made looks good though! And there's nothing better when it's cold outside to hang out with friends inside!
Hope it gets warmer for you soon though.

  15. You have to drink Belgian beer, Janis! In Belgium we say that Heineken is 'piss-beer', it doesn't taste that good comparing to Belgian beer. Did you already taste some Belgian beers? If not, you should give it a try ;-)!
Thanks btw for the information of the collages, I still have to find some time to do it! x

  16. @ penny and jazz - I'll try to get the recipe for you! I know he followed a youtube video.

@ rachael - I think homemade dough is definitely the way to go. That being said, the one time I tried to make dough, it was a major flop. And for some reason, I had decided to make the foray into dough making on a night when we were having a bunch of people over. Embarrassing! But if I am able to track down Justin's recipe, maybe I'll try it again!

@ kim - Ahh! You're two sweet! See ya there in 39 days! Woop!

@ laura - Haha, thanks for the advice! You know, I've tried some different times of beer - even a blueberry beer when I was studying in Québec a few years ago. I just do not like the taste at all! I think I have tried some Stella Artois somewhere along the line - no dice... But thanks for the advice! :)
