This past weekend, we had Friday off so we flew to Beijing for the weekend. It was only a two hour flight so it ended up being an awesome place to go for such a short amount of time. Of course, we really could have used another day or two in the city, but we'll take what we can get!

On Friday afternoon, we braved the Beijing subway and went to go check out the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Imperial Palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The place is just enormous so I feel like we saw only a small slice in a few hours. One of my favourite spots was the Imperial garden.

We rented a tilt-shift lens for the weekend, in case any of you are curious! :)

    I love Beijing - there is so much to see and do! And yes, the Imperial Palace is huge!!! One can easily spent hours in there! Great shots, love the tilt shift results! Kristina x

    These are so beautiful! Sounds like a fun time. I've been thinking about taking a boat cruise to China from here.

    It's so nice and refreshing to see people Blogging from Korea, even though who aren't from here, feels like there just isn't enough Bloggers in Korea! :)

    Nothing like a weekend trip to Beijing! Sometimes it feels like yesterday that you were interviewing for South Korea, and this whole thing was just a possibility - you're really living your dream! How incredible :)

    we did the same on our most recent trip (rented a tilt shift) did you try the 45mm? loving the tone of your photographs.
