What magnificent creatures! Their rough skin, their huge toenails, their spotted trunks and ears, their beautiful eyes and eyelashes... elephants are really something else.

(Kudos to Mike for that unbelievable last photo!)

    Janis! Elephants are my absolute favorite for so many reasons. I love love that you had the chance to go see them and experience their presence. That last photo speaks volumes and Mike is perfection for capturing it. (I would love to purchase a print of it!)

    Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. I agree with you, elephants are one of my favorite animals. They really are gentle spirits. :) I love that last picture. The first is also great!

    oh my gosh, elephants are my FAVOURITE. but if there were still mammoths around, they would trump elephants. gorgeous, stunning photos.

      street market in bangkok! it was a dollar or two (and likely won't last more than a few washes, but hey!)

    Stunning photos, especially that last one! I did not enjoy riding an elephant in Thailand, the treatment of the animals was terrible. I hope that the company you chose was much more ethical than ours!
