5/9/11


This was truly one of my happiest Sundays in recent memory. It felt incredible to enjoy the day without having homework or lesson planning hanging over my head. Such a wonderful feeling.

We cleaned Mike's house from head to toe and then had a bunch of family over for Mother's day. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious, the quality time was so so good. Things got really interesting when Mike's dad pulled out his blood glucose monitor (no, he doesn't have diabetes. Apparently it's just a quirky part trick). Mike's cousin Nathan got unexpectedly freaked out about it which led to a hilarious half an hour of convincing.

And a quick note on our mamas - they are both pretty incredible. That's mine on the left , and Mike's on the right. We love them both so much.

    I just found this lovely little blog so forgive me if this is something you've mentioned before, but are you Detroiters? I spent about a million years living in the mitten and saw that Red Wings t-shirt and got SO excited!
